Nazif’s Turkish Grill & Catering was established in 2010 to bring the culinary traditions of the Ottoman Empire and modern Turkish cuisine to Houston. Nazif’s Turkish Grill & Catering has become the symbol of Mediterranean taste after nearly a decade in Houston. We serve our kebabs in several unique ways with special servingware and Delicious garnish. All kebabs are served sizzling hot on a bed of pillow-puff flatbreads with various sauces including garlic yogurt sauce, simmered tomato sauce, sumac-infused butter sauce, Syria-inspired Aleppo pepper sauce or dried mint. Shish Kebab

Consisting of small cubes of meat or fish that is speared on a skewer and grilled is a Turkish word which means “sword” or “skewer.” According to ancient tradition,  the dish was invented by medieval soldiers who used their swords to grill meat over open-field fires.

Döner Kebab
Literally “rotating kebab” in Turkish, döner kebab is made of sliced lamb, beef, or chicken, slowly roasted on a vertical rotating Spit The Middle Eastern shawarma Mexican tacos el pastor, and Greek gyros all derived from the Turkish Döner kebab, which was invented in bursa in the 19th century.

Iskender Kebab

This dish is made with doner kebab meat and served with tomato sauce, melted butter, and yogurt, on pita bread. It is named after a cook from Bursa who is often credited with the invention of the döner kebab.

Adana Kebab This long, hand-minced meat kebab is mounted on a wide iron skewer and grilled over charcoal. It is generally “hot” or spicy. Traditional Adana Kebab is made using non-lean lamb that is cooked over hot burning coal. Only three ingredients are used to make “real” proper Adana Kebab: Minced lamb, pepper and salt.
